Submission Guidelines

We are constantly seeking original stories for our family reading programs. We require a specific format which includes stories appropriate for the age of our readers; stories which involve family issues or concerns; and most important, stories which are fun for parents to read aloud to their children.

We consider all types of submissions including humor, mystery, fiction, etc. If you believe you have a manuscript or story that fits our requirements please call our acquisitions editor, Ellen Ramsey at 800-687-3411 and speak to her directly about your work BEFORE you submit it to us.

Employment

Curriculum Development - If you can develop original material suitable for story extension activities we have opportunities for independent contractors. Materials must be suitable for Kindergarten through 6th grade children. This is short term contract work.

Sales Representative - As an educational sales representative you will play a key role in acquiring new business for this company. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to sales calls on school district administrators, educational conferences, and trade show presentations. Your success in this position is dependent upon your understanding of public school funding, school purchasing patterns, and your ability to work as a team player within our organization. This position is open to independent sales reps and/or in house sales rep.

Field Consultant - A bilingual training consultant who possesses a broad background in elementary education. This person will conduct staff and parent training sessions for LET's family literacy and parental involvement programs. This position is available for full-time or part-time work on a local, regional, and/or national level.
